RailTel is an UIDAI authorized Authentication Service Agency (ASA), e-KYC Service Agency (KSA), Authentication User Agency (AUA) and e-KYC User Agency (KUA).
RailTel is one of the few organizations in India holding all four UIDAI licenses and provides end-to-end Aadhaar based services using its robust nationwide network, 2 Tier-III Data Centres and MeitY empanelled cloud infrastructure.
Major Parties in Aadhaar Authentication Process
- Authentication Service Agency (ASA): Entities with secure leased line connectivity to UIDAI CIDR, transmitting authentication requests on behalf of AUAs.
- e-KYC Service Agency (KSA): Authorized entities that share demographic profiles of Aadhaar holders with KUAs.
- Authentication User Agency (AUA): Organizations using Aadhaar authentication to deliver services via ASA connectivity.
- e-KYC User Agency (KUA): Entities requiring Aadhaar biometric authentication through KSA.
IRCTC is one of RailTel’s major clients for Aadhaar Authentication Services used for Senior Citizen Train Ticket Discounts and e-wallet registration.
